Clean Planet recently celebrated Kishore Naiker’s 10-year milestone achievement – one of our dedicated commercial cleaning franchise owners in the Hawkes Bay region. Originally from Fiji, Kishore has been living in New Zealand for 31 years, where he has built a successful career and a life with his wife, Ranju, and their three children. His journey with Clean Planet began over a decade ago, and his story reflects his hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing top-notch cleaning services.
A Journey from Groundsman to Business Owner
Before joining Clean Planet, Kishore worked as a groundsman at the renowned Craggy Range Winery. His foray into the cleaning industry was influenced by his brother Rudra, who was among the first Clean Planet franchise owners in Hawkes Bay. Kishore initially helped Rudra with the business before taking a leap of faith and purchasing his brother’s franchise. Since then, he has expanded the business significantly, specialising in commercial cleaning services with a particular focus on school cleaning.
“I have specialised in school cleaning and currently manage three large primary schools in the same suburb. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships with my clients.” Kishore shared.
Evolving as a Business Owner
Over the past ten years, Kishore has grown and evolved as a business owner. His success has been driven by smart decision-making, maintaining flexibility in his work, and constantly striving for excellence. “It feels great to receive this recognition. I’m glad that Clean Planet is acknowledging the hard work and dedication of franchisees like myself,” Kishore said.
He credits the structure of the franchise model for allowing him to balance his professional and personal life, enabling him to spend more time with his family while running a successful business. “I find the work very flexible, which gives me more time to be with my family. Ranju and I work together along with one helper, making it a close-knit and efficient team,” he explained.
The Importance of Client Relationships
Kishore’s dedication to his clients has not gone unnoticed. The feedback from his customers is consistently positive, especially from the three primary schools he has served for many years. He believes in going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction, a quality that has helped him maintain long-term relationships.
“As Hawkes Bay Regional Manager Roy Boonen often says, the schools love Kishore and Ranju. Building a strong relationship with clients has always been a priority for us. If you’re willing to do a little extra without charging the client, they will be more than happy to maintain the same rates, even if there are times when there is less work,” Kishore advised.
The Role of the MRF Manager in His Journey
Kishore’s experience with the Hawkes Bay Master Regional Franchise (MRF) Manager, Roy Boonen, has been instrumental in his journey. Roy has supported Kishore throughout his time with Clean Planet, providing guidance and assistance whenever needed. “A good MRF is essential,” Kishore noted. “For anyone considering a franchise, it’s important to have a trustworthy MRF and seek recommendations from existing franchisees.”
Advice for Aspiring Franchisees
Kishore’s advice for those considering joining Clean Planet is simple but impactful:
- Work Hard: Success doesn’t come easy, but with dedication and effort, you can achieve great things.
- Build Good Relationships: Form strong bonds with your clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Go the Extra Mile: Be prepared to do something extra without charging the client; a good relationship can keep the business steady.
As Kishore looks to the future with Clean Planet, his dedication to delivering exceptional cleaning services and fostering strong client relationships continues to drive his success. His story exemplifies the potential for growth, flexibility, and long-term success that Clean Planet’s franchise model offers.
We congratulate Kishore Naiker on reaching this remarkable 10-year milestone and look forward to celebrating many more achievements in the years to come!
